R-07b "Vöcsök" glider Full LC Kit

Let me introduce you the Paco Modell’s new lifelike model kit. From its parts you can build an R-07b Vöcsök airplane model in 1:8 scale, a proportionally reduced copy of the original modell. It truly looks like the original version in every single detail! The design of the kit allows anyone to build the plane any place, no modelling experience or major equipment is required.

The original airplane was designed in the late 1930’s by Ernő Rubik, father to the inventor of the Rubic’s Cube, He is considered to be one of the biggest Hungarian airplane designers even today. For decades young pilots learned on his planes how to fly. sThis was exactly his aim with developing the design of Vöcsök: providing a proper airplane for beginner pilots’ flight trainings. And this is what we also are going to use this model for as this beginner plane provides you with an excellent opportunity to learn the basics of a lifelike modelling and to carry out your very first flights.

Some years ago a modelling group was established with the aim of building the reduced copies of all airplanes designed by Ernő Rubik in memory and in honor of him. These Old Timer Rubik Airplane Models are made in different sizes. Take advantage of the chance to join the group since this kit forms part of the Old Timer Rubik Airplane Model series. This Vöcsök model ranks among the 1:8 scale planes. Smaller airplanes of 1.5-2 meter-wingspan belong to this category and this is exactly the size you can easily handle. It’s easy to carry, since once dismantled it can easily fit in any car. It does not require a particular runway either so you can go anywhere to fly it. It takes up little space even at home, not to mention how nice it looks on your shelf!

The design of the plane has been developed by Gábor Pásztor who has managed to create a model that is very similar to the original one in respect of both its material and its construcction. The wood structure of this small model entirely equals to the real plane. You can find every single part on it just like on its bigger version. The crutches, the wire tension and wire connections, the connecting fittings, the worm drive, the rubber springs of the landing skids, the original registration marks and painting – every tiny detail matches that makes this plane truly lifelike. And therein lies the tremendous value of the kit: the box contains the model in its entirety, until the smallest parts and accessories. You don’t have to bother yourself with hunting for the proper accessories for weeks. Just open the box and find all special pieces inside you need to build a really lifelike model.

The box contains lots and lots of parts. But don’t worry, solutions come with the pieces! You needn’t rack your brain finding the way how to put the pieces together. Due to a well-developed system everything quickly and pecisely falls into place. That’s why there are many-many pictures available on a DVD attached and found in the box to give you an overview of each stage of the workflow you can follow whilst building. These pictures can give a great deal of help even a nonprofessional beginner build the airplane.

As you can see the kit contains all the parts of the plane however there still are some devices or equipment you are expected to aquire.

Amongst these the working or building board is considered to be one of the most important. Since this board serves as a surface on which the actual building procedure is carried out it has to be comletely flat and smooth. A simple bookshelf seems to be a perfect solution for that. You can buy it in any DIY store. It should be about 1 meter long and 20-25 cm wide. But once you have this board ready you actually have your own workshop. There is no need to find a seperate room or corner in the basement, in the attick or in the garage. Just put the board wherever you can find a place in the house and start working. An amazing advantage of Paco Modell kits is especially the lack or a minimum amount of dirt and dust created during the workflow that allows you to build your airplane inside the house. Once you have the daily work finished on the plane you can immediately make the whole   workshop disappear from your home by placing the board with all the parts and accessories on it on the top of the cupboard or even on a bookshelf. Next time just take the board off the shelf, stick some pieces together and take the board away again. This way your plane gets ready in a couple of weeks.
